The choice of the appropriate strap, for each application, is determined by specific characteristics of the strap, which MUST be indicated on a label (according to standard EN 12195-2) on each certified lashing strap:

The characteristics that are a criterion for selecting the appropriate load lashing strap depending on the application, are:

The “Lashing Capacity” (LC) of the belt.
The “Standard Tension Force-STF” of the ratchet.
The “Manual Force” (Standard Hand Force – SHF) required to achieve the STF specified.

When we want to apply Direct Lashing, the selection of a suitable belt should be made based on the required Lashing Capacity (LC).
